Compiling the code
Open the project. You find it in the folder mk/msvc8.
In renderer.cpp change "#ifndef GL_ARB_multitexture" to "#if !GL_ARB_multitexture".
Make the programs run
I had to remove the manifest resource and let the compiler embedd it to properly run the applications.
Under appforest->Resource Files double click on appforest.rc. Click on the RT_MANIFEST folder and remove it. Now right click on the project and choose properties.
Under Linker->Manifest File change "Generate manifest" to true.
After compiling you need to change the debug working directory:
You find it under Debugging. Set it to "..\..\out\"
Now all that remains is to download and copy all needed dll files (like SDL.dll) into the program directory.
